Emily Bett Rickards was born in July 1991. She is a Canadian actor best known as Felicity on the CW's television show Arrow. Rickards lived living in British Columbia. In her early years, she began her journey by exploring musical theater, and then dancing. Later, she hoped to get into professional acting. The path to her career began in the early after she completed high school, and then attended the Vancouver Film School. There she was enrolled in the Acting Essentials course. The open call following it was discovered that an agent had been found for her. She was a student at The Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. Her chemistry with Stephen Amell, positive feedback from the audience, as well as the sarcastic comments she made led to an initial signing for a single episode guest star. Anne Marie Tiernon was hired by WMBD 31 Peoria Illinois as a journalist in 1989. Then in 1991 she headed to Indianapolis where she began anchoring WISH's newscast at 11PM as well as anchoring the CBS affiliate's newscast at 5:30PM with colleague Scott Swan.
