Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, which makes her the second youngest winner to win an award within Oscar history. When she answered an open call for auditions and was selected for the part, she was cast as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves from Scotland to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. The actress was just nine years old and did not have any prior experience in acting. Her move to the United States as a teen. Paquin played Jane Eyre's main character when she was an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the main role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000).
