Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop artists: one who was able to effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country music, conquering the globe. Swift removed herself from the country genre like a second skin and proved that she had the best pop sensibility of the time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could follow the zeitgeist of popular music out on the road. This was evident in her early songs, particularly in her neo pay homage towards Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008), Swift showcased a writer getting to understand her. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States and six of the singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across all over the world. Swift could build on her success with Speak Now almost two year following. In the following three years, her fame increased -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she entered a new arena of pop where her talents were already established. Her popularity grew even after she reformulated her approach with 2020's pared-down siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
